fashion inspiration: boardwalk empire

Are you watching the new HBO series Boardwalk Empire? It is quickly becoming one of my favorite shows, and not in small part due to the incredible costume design. Seriously, so much fantastic fashion going on! We’ve been invited to a casino-themed party this weekend, and I’ve been looking through stills and re-watching bits of past episodes to get some costume inspiration. Here are a few photos I’ve bookmarked of Nucky Thompson’s girlfriend Lucy. Isn’t she spectacular?

Sarah Seven has a few new dresses in the shop for her Spring 2011 bridal line, and they are ever so lovely.

around the world

Have you seen Urban Outfitters’ Around the World collection? There are so many swoon-worthy pieces from designers like House of Dagmar, Rodebjer, Carin Wester and Madras by A.P.C., and quite a few things I’d love to incorporate into my wardrobe this fall, starting with this Peewee pant. What’s your favorite?

hieroglyph

I’m loving the edgy rocker chic look for fall, and the A/W 2010 collection from Shape Shiftr certainly fits the bill. And can I get a pair of those boots? Looove.

fashion week invites

Refinery 29 posted a round-up of fashion week invitations last week, and this one for the Rachel Antonoff show caught my eye. I love the floral fabric paired with simple type. Reminds me a bit of these fabric pocket invitations from Bird and Banner.
