wishes for baby

I love this baby shower gift from Won Jang to her sister Erin. Inspired by the endpapers of a children’s book, she had friends and family send in a sentiment for the baby, one thing they can’t wait for him to experience– his first fishing trip, his first baseball game, seeing his mama’s face for the first time – which were printed on leaves and made into this beautiful piece of art. Such a meaningful gift that certainly will be treasured for years to come!

party inspiration

Colorful party inspiration I’ve bookmarked lately:

Paper table runner with flowers and votives via 100 Layer Cake and Amber Events

sparkling soda bar via hostess with the mostess

Simple flower arrangements via Eat Drink Chic

New Years garland via The Purl Bee

origami ornaments

This rubber origami crane ornament would make a great Christmas gift. I love the idea of gifting ornaments for Christmas – my mom gives me one every year. It seems to be a fairly easy DIY project, so you might still have time if you’re looking for a last-minute gift idea!

bang bang

These origami-esque appliques on Danish children’s clothing line Bang Bang are très cool. I bet this would be a really easy DIY project to spruce up a simple shirt or sweater… Something to file away for future children!

DIY tripod lamp

Anyone have a vintage camera tripod laying around? Because this would be an awesome project. Or you could just donate it to me…

pumpkin pouches

Great idea for giving out Halloween candy. From Martha, of course.

refashion: thimbly things

I love how Kristena (of Thimbly Things) refashioned these ‘fugly’ dresses into something fabulous. Does anyone else suddenly want to hit up Goodwill?
