the northern lights

I hope I’m lucky enough to see the northern lights in person some day. Have you ever seen them? Stunning photos by 19-year-old Swedish photographer Olof Grind.

Which makes me think of one of my favorite songs by the Bowerbirds… Soooo good.

I have been enamored with the Northern Lights since 1st learning about them in college. They really seem like magic to me. I was lucky enough to get a teeny tiny glimpse of them when I lived in Madison WI. There was one night where you could faintly seem them. I am determined to see them again sometime :)

i love them! i saw them white as milk when i was in canada just after graduating high school. we drove an ancient manual out into the middle of nowhere and stared at them from a boat in a lake.

so beautiful! in elementary school, sleeping on a trampoline with a bunch of friends, i remember waking up and seeing them, bright and white, but nothing this colorful.
