Friday night I photographed the Confuse-a-tron event for Machine Project at the Berkeley Art Museum. Machine Project is known for producing events, workshops, and installations using hands-on engagement to make rarefied knowledge accessible, and this evening was no exception. There were four simultaneous drop-in sessions on making kimchi, converting melons into amplified drums, plant cloning, and the application (and styling) of tranimal drag makeup. This was really the first event I’ve done that wasn’t for friends or family, so it was a little bit nerve-wracking! Definitely a learning experience, but overall I’m pleased with how it went. These are a few of my favorites photos from the event, but you can see more here if you’re interested.
