500 square feet

I am completely swooning over this little Swedish apartment seen on Desire to Inspire. Would you believe it is less than 500 square feet? We have twice as much space and don’t use it half as well, so I suppose there’s something to be said about living in a smaller space. And I love how the high ceilings and whitewashed floors and walls create the illusion of more space. What do you think, could you live here?

loving many things about this 500 sq ft…the floors, the white walls, the placement of furniture and the kitchen layout. i could easily live here and never know it is 500 sq ft.

so swede :) before i even reached the end of your post, i had a big hunch it was a little swedish abode…and i was right :) i’m a californian living in uppsala, sweden with my swedish hub…and our little wee apartment is JUST over 500 square feet…maybe 507? crazy what you can do with such limited space. we have 2 bedrooms…though i secretly wish 99% of the time that we only had one…and a larger kitchen. ours is ROUGHLY the size of a walk-in closet. sad day, i know. this was an inspiring post, particularly when i’m working with something similar. too cute!

Swoon. I’m so inspired to get rid of more “stuff,” and we just did that when we moved. Sigh.

wow. i can’t believe this place is only 500 sq ft. i’m currently in 750 sq ft and i feel like the walls are closing in. i think it’s time to get rid of the unnecessary excess.

How is this possible? Dear God I hope I’ve got enough Swedish blood hiding inside me to make something like this possible for my tiny NYC lifestyle {and budget}.

i am a minimalist by nature, and have about this amount of stuff, but i’m also cheap, so my minimal abode looks more like a barren thrift shop than this posh and well-designed interior! maybe time to fork over some money for furniture that meshes well! thanks for the post!

beautiful! feels so light & airy, you’d never know it was only 500 sq ft

I live in about 700 sq ft and constantly edit what I own. I love the sense of knowing exactly what I own and that it’s all useful or meaningful. Also, because I only have to decorate two rooms I have more freedom to splurge than if I had to fill more rooms!

Hope you’ve had a lovely weekend! Enjoy Alt – I wish I was going!!!

Google has been working hard to give the user more chart options, as well as better looking charts.

Roll forward a few years and the advent of online collaboration technologies has led
to a different style of collaboration, one which opens
up to a wiki approach where contributions are welcomed and encouraged from all
parties. Perhaps it’s better not be using these social networks, they say
they keep people connected, but only in a virtual world, it probably prevents a lot of people from going outside and really connecting.
