I love, love, LOVE this photo from AV Photography

David and Sara’s rustic fall wedding

Here are a few pictures from David and Sara’s wedding this past weekend. The Barn at Valhalla in Chapel Hill was the perfect setting for their rustic fall wedding, and everyone in attendance had a lovely time. I feel truly honored to have been part of their special day. Congratulations, you two!

Friday Finds (monday edition): DrikaB bags

Beautiful bags from DrikaB

have a great weekend!

Sorry there won’t be a  “Friday Finds” post today… I’m busy getting ready for the wedding of two dear friends this weekend. I’ll be back Monday with the full report!

Here are some engagement pictures I took for them… What a cute couple!

rain, rain, go away

Loving the bold patterns and bright colors from pare*umbrella

“Sleep under a cardboard box…”

“…so a homeless young person doesn’t have to.” This is the slogan of Dutch company SNURK beddengoed, which sells duvet covers (printed to look like a cardboard box) and donates 40 percent of proceeds to a foundation to help homeless youth in the Netherlands. What an interesting concept, and for a good cause! Warning: the site is in Dutch so you might want to use Google translator… also, I’m pretty sure some things were lost in translation!

currently loving…

…this photo from Rebecca Thuss‘ portfolio. Stunning!

Mark Jenkins street installations

These installations by Mark Jenkins are so incredible and unique. Using clear packing tape, Jenkins creates life size ‘tape men’, dresses them in clothing, and installs them in various positions in urban environments. Some of the installations are funny and some are disturbing, and Jenkins documents the reactions they elicit from passers-by. See videos here.

{thanks to Ryan for the tip}

they’ve done it again

A few favorites from the new arrivals at J.Crew… How adorable is that day coat?

Linework and pattern

I like the simplicity of these ‘around the house’ drawings by Lucy Smith. The combination of patterns and linework really appeals to me. You can purchase the drawings individually, or as a set of six.
