I love this baby shower gift from Won Jang to her sister Erin. Inspired by the endpapers of a children’s book, she had friends and family send in a sentiment for the baby, one thing they can’t wait for him to experience– his first fishing trip, his first baseball game, seeing his mama’s face for the first time – which were printed on leaves and made into this beautiful piece of art. Such a meaningful gift that certainly will be treasured for years to come!

This rubber origami crane ornament would make a great Christmas gift. I love the idea of gifting ornaments for Christmas – my mom gives me one every year. It seems to be a fairly easy DIY project, so you might still have time if you’re looking for a last-minute gift idea!
Anyone have a vintage camera tripod laying around? Because this would be an awesome project. Or you could just donate it to me…
Great idea for giving out Halloween candy. From Martha, of course.
I love how Kristena (of Thimbly Things) refashioned these ‘fugly’ dresses into something fabulous. Does anyone else suddenly want to hit up Goodwill?
Last week I shared a few “corners of our home” and had a few inquiries about the artwork in the photo above, which I’ve been meaning to share for a while… I had torn out a page from the October 2007 issue of InStyle for a picture of Molly Sims’ living room because I loved the artwork hanging over her couch (“Homage to Music” by Matthew Heller). As a Christmas gift to my husband, I attempted to replicate the piece with the lyrics to one of our favorite songs – Neutral Milk Hotel’s “In the Aeroplane Over the Sea”. This was the result!
