Nolan and I saw the Bowerbirds at the Independent on Friday night. They were fantastic (as usual) but we particularly enjoyed the opening act from Dry the River, a folk-rock band from the UK. Their debut album, Shallow Bed, comes out next week.

It might amuse you to know that the combination for which you have named your blog was found (mixed with oatmeal and pig fat) in a Frankish grave. (The latter two ingredients may have been used the way we might use oil today in making mustard.)
