So much to love about Jane Herman’s gorgeous Brooklyn apartment (she’s Gap’s Director of Concept). I’m crazy for all the white and wood – it makes the apartment so light and airy! Aren’t those built-in bookshelves and window seats great? And hello, awesome bar over the radiator!

The forecast lately has rain, rain, and more rain. The sun briefly popped it’s head out on Thursday, but otherwise it’s just been wet here. Which was perfect for a quiet day in on Saturday, flipping through the Zuni Cafe Cookbook and watching March Madness. We braved the monsoon in the evening for a baking party/game night at a friend’s apartment. Sunday was supposed to be another day of rain, but if we’ve learned anything so far from living in San Francisco it’s that the forecast isn’t always accurate! It ended up being sunny and warm(ish)– perfect for brunch on the back patio at Chow and a hike out at Lands End. Hope you had a nice weekend!
Loving this suede and brass necklace from Iacoli & Mcallister.
Friday night I photographed the Confuse-a-tron event for Machine Project at the Berkeley Art Museum. Machine Project is known for producing events, workshops, and installations using hands-on engagement to make rarefied knowledge accessible, and this evening was no exception. There were four simultaneous drop-in sessions on making kimchi, converting melons into amplified drums, plant cloning, and the application (and styling) of tranimal drag makeup. This was really the first event I’ve done that wasn’t for friends or family, so it was a little bit nerve-wracking! Definitely a learning experience, but overall I’m pleased with how it went. These are a few of my favorites photos from the event, but you can see more here if you’re interested.
