knob necklace display

necklacedisplay

Last week’s How Much For This Room? on Decor8 featured the bedroom of Christiana Coop (of Ferm Living and Hygge & West). I though the entire room was lovely, but what really caught my eye was the necklace display above her bedside table. It looks like art, but maintains its function as jewelry storage. Love it!

I know that Anthropologie has a great collection of knobs, but beyond that am at a loss where to find pretty knobs. Any suggestions?

These embossed invitations from Chellé Paperie are so so gorgeous. Oh, how I wish I could see and feel them in person! I’m sure the photos hardly do them justice.

Gorgeous handmade hats from Etsy seller Sanchia Playfair. Be sure to check out her shop – she also makes some really lovely scarves and shawls.

When the latest issue of Real Simple hits my mailbox, I often find myself flipping through the magazine before I even make it back to my apartment. Not to check out Five Easy Dinners or New Uses for Old Things (both of which I enjoy each month), but to see if Kat Macleod did the illustrations for any stories in the current issue. I always tear them out for my inspiration file!

Here are a few of my favorite illustrations she has done, for clients including Bloom, Vogue, and Harper’s Bazaar. See more of Kat’s work here.

DIY: upholstered ottoman

otto4

I was floored when I saw this DIY project on Little Green Notebook… Jenny took a clunky old coffee table she found on Craigslist and transformed it into this gorgeous upholstered ottoman – for only $60! Simply amazing. See the step-by-step here.

This weekend Nolan and I were in western NC visiting the in-laws, so we took advantage of the beautiful weather and drove up to the Blue Ridge Parkway on Sunday morning. We pulled off at an overlook and wandered to a nearby field, and it felt like we were the only ones for miles. Such a lovely weekend… I hope your weekend was equally wonderful!
